It was later, when she was wreathed in a cascade of warm, foamy water in a decadent, freestanding bathtub, that Bella started to feel as though she was glowing. Maybe it was the comfort, maybe it was the mild sting in her backside, maybe it was everything. It came from inside her and flowed out like sweet wine.

Patrick was sitting next to the bath, stroking her hair, whispering to her, and she felt as safe and cared for as she had in her whole life.

‘You know, I think I’m gonna listen to you from now on, Daddy,’ she said.

‘Good. I had a wonderful time with you today. I felt very close to you. I know we’ve known each other for years, but today it felt like I saw the real you for the first time,’ he said, his voice sincere and strong. She could listen to him talk for hours.

The bath was standing in the corner of the room, and from where she was she could see all of the kinky equipment available to them.

‘Me too. What’s our plan tomorrow?’

‘Well, we have to be back with the band before lunch — got sound checks and the usual nonsense to go through. But the morning’s ours.’ Patrick’s eyes rested on an unusual piece of furniture in the corner of the room. ‘So I want you up early, and I want you in that.’

She trembled for a moment. ‘I don’t know how to—’

‘I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Don’t strap yourself in, though — it’s too dangerous to be restrained when I’m not awake.’ He grinned, and tilted her head back, before pouring warm water through her hair. It was a loving gesture, and it made her tingle with delight.

When she thought about what might happen in the morning, she tingled with something else.
